She makes a good point…it is probably easier living in the south to start thinking about new beginnings. I’m not a fan of resolutions but instead choose a word to focus on…I just posted on this if you’re interested. Happy New Year!
I read a good article in the Garden Illustrated magazine this month in which Frank Ronen said that resolutions are generally things we should have done in the past year or things we ought to do in the following. He says he never achieves garden resolutions and that the only way to improve the garden is to spend as much time as possible in it as this is when we learn and think best. He dismisses resolving to garden more since he says that the need to garden is as strong as the need to breath so there is no need to resolve. I have to say I agree with his sentiments completely.
