THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I have collected dishes in gourd shapes and cabbages for years to set the table.

I especially like the sunflower bowls and plates found years ago at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The squash in the cornucopia and the centerpiece are from my husbands vegetable garden.

Drinks in the foyer

My table is not set yet (I have too many cats for that) but it will look similar to the above.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Be back next week

  1. You are incredibly carelessly wonderful with your pics. The mantel in your dining room was cut off in the pic. I adore your antebellum home.

Guys are coming today to dig the foundation for my conservatory. About the only kind of cooking I know !!

Happy Thanksgiving fabulous Sandra and tomato man EARL.

  2. I’ve just discovered your blog from another blogroll and have enjoyed my visit. Your Thanksgiving dishes, bowls, etc are just beautiful. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday too. We tried something a little different this year and went camping…came home and had turkey and dressing a week later – couldn’t just skip it all together! Happy New Year to you!
